Map Editing

can I edit a map from a game I'm playing , then use that map in a new game? if so how?

I would think save the map in editor, then on New Game go to tab Custom maps?

does not give you option to save in editor. and in editor cannot pull up saved games files, except those created in editor.

It is not ment to be like this, but since I am using very similar file format, you may try to move your savegame from /saves/ folder to /scenarios/ and rename it from *.msa to *.mss and then load it in the editor. Not tested / bulletproof TBH, but worked on one file I've tested after reading this question ;)

Tried and failed.
This is something I used to always use in TTDX. Great way to play and grow a huge map, on the fly. Build it, when you get to it

Shame would be nice to be able to edit a saved game. Would like to sometimes get rid of the excess industries etc that are not used and cluttering the map.
