Suggestion: Recovering Trains After Crash/Collision
In my current game I had the situation where due to ignoring next signal, one train collided with a second train. Having not had this happen, I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but eventually learned that the trains are permanently removed. The problem, if you're not paying attention, you might not remember which trains were involved in a collison.

My suggestion would be to send any crashed train back to a depot with a damaged status. Give us the option to repair a train or wagon, rather than losing the consist, and the orders that the train had. Place a button on the Depot UI next to the Sell button called "Repair" that we can use to repair damaged components of a train. This could also lead into an Advanced Difficulty setting:

Difficulty Option:
Hard Difficulty: Full Cost of original for replacement
Medium Difficulty: Half/Quarter/Three-Quarter of original purchase price for the individual locomotive or wagon
Easy Difficulty: Free. Just throw it back into service.

This would save us the hassle of trying to figure out what train we lost, and what wagons we were running, which as a network grows more complex may be harder to figure out. In the case of the trains I lost, one turned out to be a logs train, the other turned out to be a Iron Ore train. In both these cases, I had additional trains hauling both Logs and Iron Ore to the respective facilities, so it wasn't as much of an issue, but I'd hate it if it happened to be my only train hauling such goods.

With that said, a bit of a Bug Report to go along with this: In the event of a train crash, it appears that some signals remain red, even after the wreckage has been removed.

I second this suggestion.

How am I supposed to remember which 2 trains crashed? It seems unneccesary hassle to me to have to recreate them. Just deduct the tokens required and have the trains built in the depot with the correct orders and wagons.

I also support this nice suggestion. Once you have a lot of trains it is difficult to follow them all... Also, once you have a train with different station stops it's somehow boring to repeat it... :)

Thanks for such a nice game!

I spent 5 minutes clicking every button just to find "replace" until I read this.. When Alt-Tabbed back ingame having all crashed trains' properties open, the game crashed. Apparently the property pane tried to find it's train too. :D

I think, the mechanic is the same as in TTD, that is fine. It always your fault anyway. I would just extend the crash recovery, may be make bigger warning, so you have more time to investigate/recover info.
