How to get the ABBOT expansion?

I go and purchased the RIVER expansion... but no ABBOT. why?

You have access to the expansion when you log you with an asmodee account.

It said 'the mini expansions: "the River" and "the Abbot"', so indeed there are two expansions and you purchased one of them... Just use a password manager to generate a random password for your new account.
