Can't connect to online play?
Keep getting a message that reads: "Application could not connect, please check your internet settings."
I have no idea what sort of setting wouldn't enable me to connect to the servers, really strange. Is it some kind of bug, or is there a server maintenence happening at the moment?

Hello Kurolines,

We made progress on the issue, a fix is being worked on. The problem appears when you log in using your e-mail instead of your Username.

In the meantime, you will find a workaround procedure described on our FAQ at https://asmodee.helpshift.com/a/carcassonne/?s=general&f=i-get-an-error-meessage-when-i-try-to-connect-with-my-asmodee-account&l=en

Please confirm that it works for you,

Thank you for your patience and your understanding,

Yann

I also have the same problem from one PC (my wife's parents house) but can connect normally from our house PC. I followed all the processes described in the FAQ but it doesn't work.

be sure the TCP port 2455 is open in Firewall and Routers (Portforwarding, UPNP)

I'm having the same problem, despite port forwarding setup on both my modem and router. I sometimes get "you're logged into another device" (I am not) and it boots me out, or the error message from the original poster, or just "we are connecting to our servers." I even changed my password in case someone else had one. In a single game I've been kicked off about every 30-60 seconds. Then I can't reconnect until I quite the game entirely. I connect fine, get another error, and can't connect. The asmodee helpshift URL posted above produces an error and doesn't load. The game is totally unplayable. Can you help?

Same problem as jaundicedferret described. Is there any solution yet?

I'm having the exact same problem and it is maddening.

I paid money for this game and can't play it?

I have a similiar issue, please your help.
My game restarts after 1 or 2 minutes of play, kicks me out of the online play, and says reconnecting, then play 1 or 2 minutes and restars again.
I bought the game just a few days ago and i havent been able to play it properly.
Please your help asap.

I'm having this problem too. Kicked out after EVERY SINGLE TURN. and sometimes more often than that.

Surely there's a solution to this. There's 950 people playing online, no doubt not having the problem.

I bought three copies of the game to play as a family (in the same room) with some DLCs. There is not a round when 1 or 2 of us get kicked and have to log in again. It's basically completely unplayable.

Obviously this needs to be sorted. It's absolutely game breaking.

Can I just add that I've also opened TCP port 2455 in my router but it didn't help.

Same problem here - Not woorth the money for something you can't stay logged in to! :(

I'm also having this problem (after picking up this game and a few other titles that seem like they have similar issues--based on reading up on this error--from a recent humble bundle). This is *not* due to using an email address instead of a user name (I'm using my user name, as are others, from what I've seen). It seems to happen more during on-line play than individual, but it's occurred in both situations.

This is quite frustrating; Perhaps Asmodee could at least patch the game to disable DRM/account verification for off-line play? (Although I do want to play with my circle of friends, particularly now during COVID-19; that's precisely why I bought into the bundle -- this is rather disappointing.)

The game is great, aside from this issue, but restarting the program every turn isn't acceptable.

I wouldn't hold your breath. I sent an email to Asmodee's customer support 10 days ago and haven't had a response.
