Baggage ideas (BagTrax & Baggage Hub sorting)
Is there any way we could have the speedy rail BagTrax type thing or a 'high speed' conveyor. Obviously we have some conveyors now but in normal circumstances they work but when it comes to lots of bags which need moving fast, they don't really fit the bill. Very few airports use conveyors for long distance as well. Something like BagTrax is good for ensuring bags move quickly. Even if we can only have it in a straight line and not curving with points. Just something.

Also, is there a way for bag sorters to sort 1000 bags without delay as since the update, my baggage system now has 5000 bags in one hub and more keep coming which obviously slows the process (under the new system, each bag slows the sorting).

ive just been adding more hubs and direct routes... its very messy, but dont seem to be backlogging more than 100 bags, compared to 5000 before... not sure if its actually impacting though, still seem to be getting 80% of people happy, even when the airport was empty at 1am and bags all over churning out with no people about

Having same issues.Seems to be the only the out of whack right now .Conveyors are not keeping up ( but do know your still making adjustments) . It does not help that ticket desk even when no one is there still spawning bags. Thats one reason why the hubs cannot keep up.

Last night one hub was over 8k sorting , this morning was down to 700 and right now back up to over2k and climbing. It almost seems the syatem needs to be working faster.

I am working on more direct routes but even then. I currently have 1 main bag sorter so it is causing great disruption while I now build the new system which should yes, work better but in the short term, it is cripping the game.

I've found to help influence the route taken, you may need to make others longer

my 2nd hub was getting smashed, as everything from the 1st hub was being sent to it.
when the 1st hub had a route to the same place the 2nd hub was switching too.
I'm guessing there is no logic to take into account traffic in the hub, and its shortest path first ?
picture may make it easier to see, you will see the 2nd yellow box has an odd route instead of going directly below. adding this causes the 1st hub to switch bags to the other side of the airport
1st hub has 3 checkin feeders, 2nd hub has 1 checkin feeder a sends to one side of the aiport.

havent loaded the map with the new speed updates, maybe all this work was for nothing and i can go back to the orginal hub that was the older 10 port one.

I am confused. My hubs are not passing bags on.
At the baggage loading hub all my bags (green) are not moving to the next hub see snapshot. This seems to agree as there are no bags being loaded onto the planes anywhere. In the plane status I get: 0/n bags loaded.
One of my bag unloading hubs (red) is not passing on its bags to the next. see snapshot.
This seems to agree with my baggage zone which is crushed full of pax with needs all maxing out t '1' cuz they cant pick up a bag

Has the function of these hubs changed recently? I thought all hub/hub connections could pass loading and unloaded bags

Yes. Hubs now get progressibly slower, the more items that they sort. IF you hover over the hub, it will tell you rough stats for how quickly it can sort bags but also how many bags it is sorting. Most of us are now having to upgrade our bag systems to accomedate this (Whether it be with more hubs or just using hubs more efficiently). Can I strongly advise clicking the hub though and upgrading it with boosters. That will certainly help in the mean time while you sort all the conveyers out.
