Somewhat expensive... is it worth it?
Having a hard time swallowing the $25, would have no issue at $15. Should I bite the bullet and pay the full-price, is it worth it?

It's a solid airport simulator. I play a bunch of Sim games and I thoroughly enjoyed it up until about the 20 hour mark. I imagine someone who's really into airports specifically could get 40+

If you like to create your own airport it is fun. And it can be played very easy but also very deep , like you want it. I have over 800 h in game , and it is still fun .(i would buy it again) If you will buy it come to SA Discord , there we can help you at your SA start

and the Developer are still working on that game , at moment a bigger overwork of the game is in work , but we not know when that comes so far

PS: also a big workshop the game have with neraly all airlines , and also many objects

If 25 $ is too much for you , then just wait at the next sale

Stop spreading these lies. The game is dead and has been for ages.

That the devs working on a bigger update is no lie , they told it to us in SA Discord. this week

I would recommend AirportCEO instead, it has way better mechanics and just feels more complex. Still, both games are somewhat similar.
Yeh they seem to spend an awful lot of time telling you things in discord

Maybe if they spent more time working, people wouldn't be calling this a dead game

And quite a bit more broken too. Path finding is pathetic on that one in all aspects.

I played this not long ago and was impressed by how detailed it is. It has a few bugs but on the whole it works very well, and is really fun to play. I'd highly recommend it to anyone that likes tycoon/builder type games.

I'd say even if they did what you suggest they'd still have people complaining that it's dead due to lack of communication. Developers can't win, when they focus on developing they get blamed for not communicating enough, when they communicate they get complaints because they're not spending enough time developing.

Try to remember something, this isn't EA or Ubisoft, they're a small developer that don't have a ton of people and other resources to throw at this. I'm not on discord, but I'm glad to hear they are still developing the update.

Most of the time the problem isn't the developer, the customers are the problem because their never happy regardless of what the developer does. A developer takes some time to develop new content and impatient idiots start assuming it's dead.

As far as I understand it they still intend to update SimAirport plus their other game SimCasino, looking forward to both.

The thing is, SimAirport was my first airport sim and I really enjoyed it. I then saw AirportCEO and didn't play it for a long time cause of many reviews saying it's buggy etc. Yeah there are some pathfinding issues but a quick reload fixes them all the time, at least thats my experience.

If someone would force me to a airport tycoon, I would probably go for Airport CEO.
I liked SimAirport very much for the first time and play it a lot but the final state of the game was rather disappointing.

It's not the features that are in the game, basically the game is great. I like the style, decorations, building etc.
It's the missing updates that bring something new (e.g. general aviation, cargo), the clunky UI and primarily the bugs.
There always have been bugs you notice in every game you start. That's very annoying since the game is out for a long time. In my first game since last patch I have the feeling that even more bugs have been introduced.

The non existing information from the devs is also pretty annoying.

Even if it's not perfect, for the same price CEO developed better overall and offers more versatility

As has been said... I rather enjoyed the game once but when I try to replay it then it just feels bad. 10 hours in (at most) and you've seen all there is to see... you can keep building a bigger airport, optimizing profits, whatever but ultimately there just isn't anything new to look forward to.
It's like playing rimworld without random events or prison archetect without the random sherminator prisoners, escape attempts, etc. Congratulations, you finished building the lego model and now you can set it on a shelf and look at it.

You calling me an impatient idiot, pal? Or is it just the 'other' unhappy customers you're slagging with that remark?

There are plenty of EA games out there with active dev teams releasing content every couple of months, taking feedback on board, fixing bugs, and making it very clear that the game is alive and in development.

The people who wrote this game have not been seen nor heard from in months. They announced an update last year and have not bothered to return. The only news we get is from one superfan and one modder, both of whom tell us that the devs are really 'active on discord'.

You can't convince me that they haven't cut and run.

Which they would be entitled to do, if they so decided. They released the game as promised, it contains the features they promised and so forth. So legally, absolutely no requirements anymore to update the game.
I didn't say it was illegal... you're answering a question which was never asked.

I'm telling people not to buy this game because it is woefully unfinished
