Best way to separate arrivals and departures ?

I'd like to move my baggage claim far away from my ticketing.. but as baggage needs to be 'landside' of security I'm having issues. Whats the best way? I thought about a 2nd security zone just for people arriving but it needs bag scanners and ID checks etc.. and I don't want departure passengers to use it.

You can really build a whole separate system for baggage claim. The baggage depot has 2 ports. one port (consumer) for ticketing to feed bags to load to planes and on port (producer) to feed bags to the baggage claim area. just separate those 2 task with total separate baggage systems. Just do not use the same hubs for them. needs to be separate everything.

if you join the discord server there are some pretty nice setups that players have made to separate the pax from arriving and departing at the gates.

What I am doing is splitting my vehicle traffic. All traffic for departing flights go to the right as they enter the map. I have this road wrap around my entire airport. Drop off zone to the north, east and south. Traffic for arriving flights go straight down as normal. Pickup zones all on the west side of the airport. Also, all departing passengers are funneled up to the 2nd floor. All arriving passengers are sent to the first floor to collect there luggage near the exits and pickup zones.

I've got my airport set up such that departures and ticketing are on level G and arrivals and baggage claim are on -1. It seems to go ok for the most part, though the pax get confused if there's no way to move from arrivals to departures and vice versa

Not sure what you mean about security, arriving passengers dont need it do they?
