Question about first class lounges.

Since my seating capacity at the departure gate is strained, I've decided that in addition to adding more seats, that I will also add a first class lounge.

Since I never have designed one before, I'm clueless about what to put inside of it. Do I just lay down fancy floors, posh seats, and a decoration, or are there other things that I should put inside of a lounge?

Well, when I think of a first class lounge; I tend to think of what it is like for us in most of the USO's at the airports. We typically have places to charge our phones and computers, tv's, couches, a kitchen, sleeping areas, etc. So I would place some couches, alot of deco, some tables and chairs, their own food kiosks, etc.

I think they said this is coming, but they really should add like showers, free food buffets, help desks and that stuff for inside of lounges.

Hello one question I have. What is the actual advantage in having a first class lounge? Does it improve any numbers. The same applies to the crew resting lounge. What it the return in the investment?

That sucks! Maybe if you improve the beauty rating of your lounge?

It's a thought I got from my idea of building a path for arriving PAX to use in order to get to the main part of the terminal. I used decorative trees, which boosted the beauty rating like I had hoped... But not only were the trees unsuccessful in working as barriers, but after people went through the scanners, they'd go wait for their planes in my intened pathway... They even walked straight through the security gates that are otherwise one way traffic!

They use mine but they never use the bar that is for their exclusive use inside 1st class.

On my airport it's the crew lounge that never gets used.

I've got first class PAX using first class lounges for two reasons:

1. The charging station. (Thanks, TheFrustratedElmo!)
2. To line up (or queue-up, if you prefer) for boarding flights. I only have two gates at this time, but they're both located near a first class lounge, and I put the departure desk at one end. (The first class departure desk for the other gate is outside of the first class lounge, but it's close enough!)

Other than that, I'll sometimes see first class PAX sit down, but they sure love the charging station! They love it so much, I built a second one to save on wear and tear, and to cut down on the wait time.

Hey Bungle, I was just thinking about you. The unthinkable happened: I saw four people in one of my flight crew lounges, and three of them belonged to flight crews! Only now that I've seen that in SimAirport, I'm afraid the world is going to end soon!

Is there a way to add food and beverage to the first class lounge? I built a kitchen and added a chilled food display, hot food display, coffee maker, and soda dispenser, but it wants them to be in a cafe. Most food and beverage in a First Class lounge is complimentary, and I would like to simulate that. Also, is there a way to change the prices at the bar to Zero, again, for lounge guests?

There are mods for that in the workshop : a Food Buffet , and a Drink buffet , also some more things for lounges (reception for example) You find it in the workshop , if you search "Lounge" , then you will see it
