grid snapping?
Is there a way to change the snapping option for the gates? Theyre all over the place and it wont let me place them side by side, or even up against my airport because it snaps to a awkwardly large grid instead of moving it 1x1 block at a time.

We decided against having more free placement, they're always fixed on the same 10x10 grid as the taxiways and runways - it's so to ensure you don't accidentally build taxiways and gates that aren't compatible.

For the not placeable side by side: You can place them side by side - the S gates will have some grass in between but are placed directly together (you can place a road inbetween if you'd like to fill the space) - anything up from that always touches as is.

I had this problem with my very first airport. I now use the planning tool to plan all my airports. First, plan where you want your runways, taxiways, and gates, both small, large and extra large. Then build the terminals around that plan.

Once you learn the rules and limits of the game, it is a piece of cake.

that is probably my best bet. I built my entire airport first then tried to build gates and runways. I guess planning is the way to go
