How does the refuel station works?

What do you need to refuel airplanes without reasearching the gate ports?
Since the update I can't refuel airplanes if I don't build the gate ports.

That's my little airport I just build. Everythings connected with underground fuel pipes and there's a fuel truck in the garage.

If I go to the refueling overview it says:
Yesterday fuel orderer: 13'500 (or something liked that)
Yesterday fuel delivered: 0

That's happening for several days now and in several different save games.

Can someone please help me.

I don't know what I changed but it works after 3 days of not delivering any fuel to the airplanes I finally sell some fuel to them.

You still needs a fuel tank , i can not see one(if there is one it must be near the street, not to far away from the fuel depot) , and you must go in the operations control panel to change the settings like you want. (at fuel Services) (There is now in the game a tutorial)

A fuel depot (for deliveries) is still necessary, as are storage tanks. The new refueling station is there to refuel your trucks - if a gate has a fuel port, the truck will use it to refuel the plane. If not, the truck has to use the fuel it has onboard, then has to replenish that fuel from the station.

If you're not selling any fuel, price is a likely cause. Try lowering your selling price (anything over $2/L becomes a pretty hard sell) and see if sales pick up. Alternatively, airline satisfaction may be too low.

After the third or fourth day it worked and I didn't change anything. I have build everything and the price was around 1.70. But as I said I didn't change anything. I was just confused that the refuel menu said that fuel was ordered by the airlanes but no fuel was delievered to the planes.

I still don't know what I did wrong but now it works. Thanks for the help

It could be that your fuel hadn't been delivered; when you buy fuel, you won't actually have it available for sale until the truck delivers it to your depot.

Buy more fuel. I had 17,200L and my fuel trucks wouldn't fill up. They fill themselves ready then park up full, then go straight to the planes when needed.
Get at least 50,000L in your tanks and the trucks will start working.

Does the refuel station actually do anything? I have the fuel ports on my gates and i have fuel trucks but no refuel station. My aircraft get fueled just fine. What exactly is the purpose of the refuel station?

The refuel station is for filling trucks to fuel planes. If you ahve fuel ports on the gates, the refuel stations are not needed. The fuel ports replace the refuel station, as they pipe the fuel directly to the gate where the plane is parked instead of delivering it via local truck. The truck will still do the refueling, but it will only facilitate the connections from the fuel port to the plane.
