Essentially, you install your remote bagscans into your security zone as you like, fitting them into whatever machine scheme you have going. Terminals are installed elsewhere, wherever you have room. You then assign bagscans to terminals to get them ready to work - once you hire a security officer to staff the desk, you're off to the races!
Just bear in mind that load has a direct effect on throughput speed. While you CAN assign 50 bagscans to one terminal, it's a very bad idea; they'll all slow to a crawl. Good rule of thumb is five or fewer per terminal for best performance.
It's now "Ticketing Zones" which can be assigned to gates -- all of the desks & kiosks inside the zone will honor the zone's assignment.
Be careful to ensure your Ticketing Desks are inside the Ticketing zone when using the assignment feature (ie ensure that the 2 tiles underneath the desk [and not visible]) are zoned); we actually tweaked it this cycle (on Edge now) to warn when the desk isn't zoned as it had caused some confusion and appeared to be a bug until realizing the tile just needed to be zoned. :)
