Adding to runway
A feature that would be helpful would be that you can add to the runways without dismatling the whole thing first.

You can extend it without dismantling it. Select runway from menu> click the end of a runway and drag it.

Good catch! Didn't know that aswell!

As mentioned above, Runway extensions are definitely doable but understandable that it's very easy to overlook as there's no UI indication beyond the fact that it just works when you try it.

We'll add this into the upcoming tutorial, which is about to be released to Edge in the next week or so, as it's pretty important info & clearly something that isn't conveyed well (or at all really) right now.

Thank you I can now land big planes!

Hey guys, what's the difference between asphalt and concrete runways?

I know concrete runway is almost 50% more expensive, but I don't know the difference.

Unless something changed recently, it's largely cosmetic ... for now. A durability/maintenance difference is coming.

Something to change is to allow extension to unbuilt objects

Concrete is actually already a good bit more durable -- it will stand up to more landings, and larger aircraft landings, for longer before needing any repairs.

I stand corrected. :)

Is there a way you can send a screenshot or something on what menu? I have clicked on everything I could find and I do not get an ootion to extend the runway.

@Bholze -- You just use the normal "Runway Tool", start the draw (click & drag) anywhere on the existing runway and then drag to the length you'd like it to end up being. :)

It will shut the runway down during the construction of course, but it only requires the time & materials for the "new length" amount + paint time/materials for the entire length (meaning it is slightly cheaper & faster to make the runway larger up-front, but not by a large amount).

That did it!! Thanks. Now I have a longer runway but boy am I broke. Need to add government bailout option LOL.

I do get the sense that your airport is too big to fail! =D ;)
