Efficent Road Layout
Anyone advice about efficent roads? Traffic's getting very busy and a lot of passengers are missing flights as a result

Can you post a screenshot of your layout so we could give suggestions?

Still early in my airport so the road is the standard single lane. Seeing as roads are expensive at 8k a pop, I wanted to see how others manage theirs first.

Alright. Well double taxiways seem to work great. As planes will then be able to go both ways without being stuck against each other. See the example below:

But for the most part you will have to figure out what works best for you. If you get stuck finding a good layout, you could ask for advice by posting a screenshot of your current layout.

He said roads, not taxiways. If you're early and cost is an issue, simply doubling the main road can be huge. You can double smaller sections first. If trash or deliveries are an issue, a small branch off for them can help a lot. Later on you can build a whole road network of you want. There are plenty of road screenshots to take a look at on here.

My bad. I thought he meant taxiways. :)

for me, the most efficient it placing garbage zone at very bottom of map, up of it was delivery zone, with road branching from main way so any garbage or mass delivery didn't make any incoming bus or pax vehicle stop and not drop their pax

drop off at very top of map, to let pax get in terminal ASAP, and pick up zone in midle, of delivery and drop off, depends on how your airport layout is

You know I wish we could chose our second exit... however you put that lane will exit that traffic, so you can peel garbage trucks and supply trucks off... *shrug* still a good game though...

well, this is my garbage, delivery, and pick up zone layout, i've never got any jam on this road setup,

FYI, dropoff zone is near entrance, so the only jam is where pax drop off

I do driffent design test on road, since we can't force car lanes to go to the very left to exit faster, i been experimenting with better road ways...

This layout worked befor they changed the AI pathing, the Cars whent to the exit road as soon as possible now they just drive same path as the busses and helps getting deley on busses.
