Quickly add cash to your save if your low on funds

Full disclosure: This is a "cheat" i learned while playing prison archtect. While playing on career mode sometimes you get a tad bit zealous and run out of funds. This "cheat" allows you to open the save (which contains the entire code of your game). If you are at anytime unsure, or are novice at this type of edit( create a backup of your file and try it first, or creat a new saved game and try it out on a dummy airport first) i would hate for you to ruin your amazing airport becuase of a stray number.

Also, this is not endorsed by steam or SimAirport's creaters. Therefore, you are doing this on your own and your accountable for any issues that may arise.

-----CHEAT CODE-----

incase you guys are curious on how to quicly get money (if you run out like i did in career mode)
here are some simple steps to change your balance and keep on rolling, while it does require you to open the code of your save, it has worked for me so far with no issues.



1) find out where your games are saved on your device. ( in the game you can pull up the save game/load game screen and click the little "o" by the scrool bar.

2)Open the save using a text editor ( on MacOS text edit works perfect for me)--Right click the save and open with text editor.

3)Search with in the file "current_balance" ---Youll come to a line that looks similiar to this:

"current_balance": 2191350.0,

The numbers represent your current balance on hand. Just type in your new desired balance so if you want $3 mill type in 3000000.0 (include the .0)



4)save the file back to your hard drive.

5)Reload the save in your game and your all set!



---BONUS--- if you noticed the nest few lines also include any loans you took from the bank, if you wish to get rid of those, same as before just change it to 0.0 and poof debt is gome!!

Now while this may work (haven't tested it myself) do keep in mind that doing any form of file tweaking, even if it's just as simple as changing around a few numbers, can lead to bugs that are beyond our ability to fix. We aren't going to be the crazy devs who tell people "no you can't do this," just know if you do experience any bugs while doing this we really won't be able to help you out as you're pushing the game to do things it wasn't technically supposed to do.

Maybe this won't mess with your game, but any time you do things outside of what game developers intend on you always give yourself a risk :)

yeah, that is why i put, you may run into new issues doing this...

i have done it a few times and it has worked for me. i enjoy finding bugs and reporting them as found. its just a tweak i found.

like i stated this "code" has much similar properties to Prison Arch.

ive got to say, i really like seeing a dev team that supports this kind of thing. it is a really simple thing, but it gives me much more faith in this game, its future, and the devs behind it.

In this style only Fallout Shelter as far as im aware, however it really show that they would support modding.

I am gonna go with Ramsis on this one, the game codes are scripted in a way that a tiny teensy tampering with them leads to a game crashing end! I am not certain if these outcomes were intended or not but it eliminates the option of freedom on your little sandbox. I am not saying that cheating is okay but I am gonna vote for total freedom in a single player offline game. Having said that, those who like to have X number of this and X number of that be assured that even if you don't experience any bugs or glitches you kill the game on the spot for yourself for earning in-game $ and everything the goes with it, is a huge part of the most games, especially Tycoon type of games such as SimAirport.

The game is in need of a SERIOUS and fast update.
Stability and bug and glitch fixes
Adding one last max speed like 50x (for faster day-night cycle or building)
Bigger Map
More Airline
better workshop mod compatibility
even better game graphics
Some new elements like Snow and blizzards
Military-focused landing and hanger zones
More realistic Airplane landing and Taxi and Takeoff
Better Passenger AI in regard to queue and movement path
A LOT more realistic Airport sounds, e.g. Air control radio talks, flight announcements, missing stuff announcements, generally more utilization of all announcement system in the game.
New unlockables
Stock Market
Personal Airline including purchasable plane with ability to add decals and such to them
better looking traffic and light rail system
MUCH better casserole system
and so much more. I don't want to write a little book here.
Wish I could have a simple instant way of reporting bugs to devs as I play in the game.
It is high time that I put my 25 years of gaming experience to a good use (free of charge)
