So if have a glitch or issue "report it to devs first!" can check this thread for fixes. Also post here if have a glitch and hopefull can get you a fix/trick for it.

I decided since lot of people have same issues or glitches and there is a few tricks that work. I would post ones ive found or others have mentioned.. Also can go here for more tips and guides. Its a work in progress https://simairportwiki.com/index.php?title=Category:HowtoPlay It is NOT mine. But guy working on it is active.

1. Que lines must be assigned to workstations to work :-)
2. leave a gap between queline and work stations
3. DO NOT hire more staff or food workers then you have work station or they will get stuck.
4. When starting new game. restart the program also. Close game and restart.
5. Use SECURITY EXIT gates to direct arriving passangers out of airport instead of threw it.
6. Build all you need BEFORE hire first airline. As it will add to congestion with construction trucks and passangers comeing same time. Try to build dureing the night to lesson it.
7. Do not forget to leave space for expanding main road. As for now it seems can only build on RIGHT side of current prebuilt road.
8. it's possible to assign multiple desk (id/tiocket/gate) to a single queue (or a coach/first queue pair) and that's what make passenger properly round-robin around facilities
9. likewise, it's possible to assign a gate to multiple desks, that's how you get to load the 500+ passenger monster in the 2 hour time allotted succesfully
10. if you have a security guard per scanner/detector, it will reduce the errors to zero (people having to rescan) - but if you are strapped for money the guards are only needed at the id desk
11. staff is your main center of cost. luckily staff will walk from ticket to boarding desks as needed, so you can run understaffed and save loads of money in the early phases (make sure the walk from ticket to gates is short tho)
12. Staff will leave their desks and take golf carts to load and unload airplanes until you get a proper baggage system setup with the Baggage Routing System.
13. Vending machines seem to be best way to go atm. They costly so takes a bit to break even, But its less likely to have stuck people. And its a lot faster then cafe atm.
14. If have stuck plane try sending its passangers home. I hear it can some times fix the plane.

More to come as i come across them. Or find on forum. Rememeber not all will work for you. But they are worth trying.

Open the save/load screen in game, click on the "O" at the bottom right. The save game location should pop open in your file browser.

I have finially been able to get a airport working with very few glitches. have only couple pax stuck. Rest working fine. Though still have flights leaveing late. but ehres a SS of working airport :-) I got all way down to less then 5k cash and now almost 200k. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=882591321

I only have 3 morning and 3 evening flights. I stick to planes with no more then 180 passengers. Remember check the planes type when picking. As some have 19 and some have 400! do not schedule the 400 count ones back to back with no gap. Or you will deffinitly have cancled flights. Need a minimium of 2 hours gap. All flights should have 1 hour gaps. So makeing more gates for planes is a must.

Also runway cost is set to 600. And passenger set to 35$

I have a similar layout that works like a charm, the only difference is i try to get the biggest plane for the last flight of the night, it dosnt matter if it goes over time and gives a nice boost to the cash flow :)

@dragonsphotoworks - No ticketing desks? That should be hurting satisfaction since passengers will be upset they can't check bags, will check to make sure that's accounted for.

@timberdragon Nice as well, smart strategy too! :-)

What kind of daily profit are you guys seeing with that setup roughly, just curious?

only a few thousand a day... maybe. Sometimes if i dont get the flights right it will bankrupt.
But if i can get the research for pricing done in time then im rolling in the cash.
timberdragon Mar 13, 2017 @ 3:24am
The same airport after researching Pricing which i put up to $1300 for runway usage and $65 for tickets. It's ok, they love me so they pay it X)

My strategy, makes good cash if flights don't randomly cancel and I have to paythe fine....

1) Before I build anything I research finance- Gonna need those loans later
2) Build an office so it's ready for when I can hire a finance COO
3) Upgrade my runway with lights
4) Build a small hangar and the luggage system
5) I move my baggage collect point closer to the top as it will save me money when adding the conveyer system
6) My security setup- 1 ID check, 2 scanners and 3 metal detectors ( I add an extra ID check later)
7) Build the second plane gate

the 2 gates (with 3 desks each) and the runway light allows me to get 10 flights per day. I will have a 767 in the mornings at 4 but for the rest of the day I won't go bigger than the 707 (180pax)

As soon as I hire my finance COO i research loans and then pricing......and then the money comes $$$

Wow, completely missed them! :-D Indeed!
dragonsphotoworks Mar 13, 2017 @ 2:11pm
Ya i moved them so when people arrive they reach them quickly. And when had them up top they would bunch on first 2-3 ignoreing the rest. But with them by door all of them get used 90% of the time. Compared to 20%.

Vending Machines, Vending Machines, Vending Machines! There is no inventory or stock. Click once and done, eventually they will pay themselves off. I noticed with the cafe (maybe be bug or poor game design) i opened a cafe to make more money for all passengers and didnt seem to make any revenue... shame. Also ASAP get a CFO and get ''Pricing'' i do 1k for runways and cover staff payment, and $50 per passenger, some airlines will probable drop you, also when your flow is good schedule 10 flights a day.

I keep mine as 700-800 to airline to cover part of staff. And 35-40 per passanger to make money. At beg8inning your walking fine line with airlines to keep them happy. So i wouldnt raise it that much at start. But once get stable i would set it :-)

And ya vending machines all i use at the moment. As They are lot faster also then cafe. So people dont tend to miss flights as often useing them. Though takes a while to recover costs when place them. Their almost 4k each :-( but after a few days should break even and start geting a profit from them.
