Prison Architect set at an airport: What a neat idea!
Literally just stumbled on this and instantly added it to my list. Obviously SimAirport will draw direct comparisons to PA, the art style, the core game loop etc, it is all very much the same.

And that is a good thing. PA was addicitive as hell, and I still drop in and out of it for "short" 3-6 hour sessions. Growing up I was a great fan of the likes of Sim City (SNES), Theme Hospital (PC) and Theme Park (Amiga) and I still enjoy my "quirky" management games. I've been looking for a game such as this set at an airport, I'm sort of geeky that way.

If SA is even just half as good as PA we'll be in for a treat. Looks like the dev team has nailed it, though, and playing it will easiliy show this. I love these kind of games, and it is nice to see some potentially great ones still coming to Steam.

1960 here. First game I loved was Railroad Tycoon in the early 80s. Always have been a fan of tycoon / managment games. Still going strong at 57.

The way going to the airport is these days, it really makes sense to parallel prison architect here with the experience of trying to be a traveling civillian in a police state.

84 here. SimCity 2000 was probably the first management type game that I played.

I would have to disagree that its good that the game copies big parts of what made prison achritect great. That just makes it unoriginal and in all likelyhood infringes on the intelectual property of Introversion Software, unless the devs got a permission from Intoversion to copy huge parts of their game design, UI, and mechanics, but simply change the theme.

It might be a decent game in the end, but I just don't appove of such blatant copying of someone elses work.
