you can buy it on GOG which doesnt require internet. after you download and install it of course.

steam does? i mean i went offline mode with steam for weeks it doesnt seem to require me to validate?

steam does require you to validate after a certain time. its changed the time over the years but they still do it.

That said, as long as the game so much as launches in offline mode, it's fine. I don't think Biomutant will require an internet connection to launch (it'll be available on GOG, so what would be the point?), but I didn't think Lightning Returns and Sunset Overdrive needed it either. They might've changed it for LR, but SOD still does.

GOG will never need an internet connection after you download it. but steam will after a certain time.
