I’ve enjoyed Mad Father, The Witch’s House, Misao, The Count Lucanor, and Ib. I’ve heard good things about Alicemare, Close Your Eyes, Fausts Alptraum, Grimm’s Hollow, Sweet Lily Dreams, Yume Nikki, and Our Darker Purpose. Trick and Treat is spooky, but it’s lighter horror imo

Similar to the abstract, bizarre parts of YP: Yume Nikki (Not "dream diary", just Yume Nikki, the free game) , THEN play Yume 2kki, .flow, LCD DEM (also free).

Similar to the horror parts of YP: Corpse Party (here on steam). Same idea of running around and doing things and same carefully crafted atmosphere/sound design, though Corpse Party doesn't have nearly as much dark humor as YP has.

Similar to the horror AND the bizarre parts of YP: Mogeko Castle (free).

Try HOUSE. It takes a little getting used to but it's got very similar vibes
