Starting a new game then encounter the black screen.

Everything seemed to be good before I pressed "New Game". The screen faded to black, but I could hear the sounds in the game. Also, I thought I could control the character since I could hear the footsteps sounds when I press the arrow keys.

I have already checked these:
Be sure you have an up-to-date driver for your graphic card.-------- OK, it's the latest.
Be sure that the files are not corrupted by using the "Check Cache Integrity" steam feature.------ Checked, OK.
Sometimes, antivirus might be a problem, try deactivating it, just to test.------ Checked, since no AV in my PC.

Here is my PC's configurations:
OS - Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon
Linux Kernel - 5.0.0-36-generic
CPU - AMD R7 1700
RAM - 32 GB
GPU - NVIDIA Corporation GK104 [GeForce GTX 760]
GPU's Driver - nvidia-driver-435.21-0ubuntu0.18.04.2

Hi, according support team suggestion, try with the legacy movie player.
1. This is done by writing "novlc" in the steam launch options ( without quotes )
2. If not working, then disabling cutscenes might do the trick : "novideo"

I followed the first suggestion and it worked!
