Couple questions regarding Alice.
So, I read a few things that said Alice will leave your party if you become a Necromancer (or something along those lines)... How can I both become a Necromancer, as well as avoid it? Can I still fight him if Alice in in my party?

Also, if I do have her and make her leave, is it then possible to get Buffalo Bill to join me?

There are seven books in the game that teach a magic called Nex-Mex, if you read enough of these books you become a necromancer, just don't read the books to avoid becoming a necromancer.

Buffalo Bill doesn't count as a companion so you can have him and someone else as well.

Ahh, well.. I did read some... they all teach a skill, right, so I just have to avoid reaching seven skills, yes?

I don't know if it's all seven needed or if it's a number before that, but if she's still with you then you're not a necromancer. Honestly? If you don't want to be a necromancer then I would recommend not reading anymore books at all. I think they're supposed to be a moral choice between being good and pure or strong but corrupt/evil.

I tried to do the part where you absorb him.. and she got in my face... so I backed off... but that means I missed out on that Achievement. Would she have left me if I had absorbed him?

I think so--that's the point at which you actually become the Necromancer. I don't think reading all the books does it by itself.
