Ran out of Needles at Boring Springs?
I've only picked up two needles in Boring Springs. I've exchanged one for a stick of dynamite and used the other to help the sherf. I need another one to pick the lock of the toolbox at Orehole. Where can I find another one? Or have I screwed myself over?

1. You arent suppost ot buy the dynamite unless you are trying toget the acheivement.
2. You can get 1 needle at your home. (It would be nice if you could skip the home.)

Am I going to have to restart my game then?

Create a new character then delete the old one.

You can find needles in haystacks and buy them from traders. And once you unlock the silver smith, you can make them out of silver bullets. You need to pick a lot of locks in this slevel.

And, man, the original KoL forum is a lot nicer than this one. I miss it all of the sudden.

Are you going for the A Fistful of Cutlets achievement? If so, yes - you must get the needle from home, and then not help the Sherf unlock his door to get it. Otherwise, meh, no - that lockbox only matters if you want the achievement, otherwise it's a waste of a needle.

Did you dig in the haystacks in the BS Horsery? You can find some there. :)

There are enough needles to do everything as long as you arent going for the pointless 1 extra meat and an acheivement.

This person seems to be doing that. That was my point.

I didn't want the achievement. I just wanted to finish Boring Springs. I've already made a new character instead, so thanks for the answers guys.

And yeah, I miss KoL too. I'm thinking of revisiting it.

Even with all three needles, I still can't figure out how to get three sticks of dynamite. I've traded one needle for dynamite, dickering got me the second one, but the trader no longer has any dynamite for trade, and didn't have any other needle to dynamite trades before I asked for the free stick. And you need a needle for the crowbar lockbox, so I don't see how you'd get the dynamite without dickering.

There are ways... only proceed if you've been unable to figure it out and want a spoiler.

In Thousand Three Snakes, surrender to the third snake. You'll be given a stick of dynamite to try again. Hint: don't use it on the snake.
