Locations north of Frisco?

I cant seem to find anything in that big area North of Frisco. I wander but nothing happens...

Yeah i can't seem to find them either, i know they exist, but no amount of wandering has made them appear.

I have a feeling they are locked off due to some in game action.

There are a couple el vibrato spots up there, so maybe they're locked if you didn't do the perfessor questline. Try going to the saloon in frisco and talking to the people there too, they might reveal a spot or two. It's been a while since I'v played this game so I don't remember many specifics.

There's a flyer in Frisco that shows you the comedy shack, and that's a great spot to start from.

Wandering in that area seems to be more area-sensitive than other areas, you won't discover things half the vertical height of the map away the same way you will in the first and second areas. So get the comedy shack and go there and wander. Watch out for Frisco Snakes, they're vicious.

i never found any flyer, and i cant get back onto the train to look around.... so i assume that i borked getting into the new area then ?

It's not on the train, it's in Frisco. (Or it may be in your inventory already if you've explored Frisco)
