Report a translation problem
If you don't consider the clowns any better than the cows, and would rather see them wiped off the face of the Earth, then you can use the toy skeletons on the command table at fort alldead and order the skeleton army to the circus to kill them all.
Important, very spoilery note: Gives away a part of the ending (you've been warned)If you don't kill the clowns you get a bad ending for that event. I believe the same is also true of the necromancer.
Note: You do in fact need to actually read all the clues and stuff, it doesn't go in the Journal unless you read it.
