That's what I was thinking as well (I have the same four as OP does).
I'm "mostly" finished with my game, but I know I'm missing some things, and I have no idea where/how to get them. This is one of them.
Is the fifth musician missable?
That's also an interesting guess.
Thanks for reminding me of yet another item I'm clueless about... lol
Oooh, that's true! The "comedian"! Guy!
If you listen to enough of his "jokes", you get the option to tell him he sucks every now and again. I guess if you keep doing that enough, maybe you can convince him to join the band instead...
Gonna go test that right now.
Actually, I'm 98% sure you're right about this. His oddly-space-out music makes perfect sense in this context.
EDIT: Yup, it's him. I was just a couple of jokes away from getting him... >.<
Thanks Up All Night!
Now I just have to figure out what the mini piano, the ghost whiskey and the cowbell next to the band are for... >.>
It's a random location place in the NW of the map that you unlock from riding around/wandering. It's called Wasco's Comedy Shack.
...perhaps mashing the cow bell once they're all assembled with give me something. you can never have too much cowbell, after all. ^_^
I'm not sure, actually. That place had been bothering me for some time, and I went back after learning El Vibrato numbers, made a couple of selections, and I apparently "solved it" before realizing what I was doing. :\
Something about matching my choice selection to what was at the top of the terminal's screen or something?
I hoped there would be something like that as well, but it doesn't look like it.
I hit the cowbell a bunch of times, but as far as I can figure, it just allows you to "play along" with the band. If there's more to it, I haven't figured out what to do.
It's a bit convuluted to how you get it.
Once you find it in the Well location you need to go to the teaching room which has the machine that takes the cards and go to the one below it in the room which shouts random words at you. It's apparently saying numbers are you and it's just you pressing 1-7 like 7 times each to eventually learn all the numbers.
After that and spamming the cards to learn the language you go to the Sound Nuisanse Containment room via the teleporter and you send it off to I believe it's South 5-6 and East 3-4. I wasn't paying attention when I did it but it's around that.
