Now, the REST of the El Vibrato stuff? Heh, good luck because I'm as lost as you right now.
1. I have 20% to all resistances from Uncanny Presence. (I also have another 20% to hot/cold resistance, not sure what it's from, but I don't think it's relevant here.)
2. I don't have any spooky resist gear, but I have two pieces of stench resist: the gas mask and sweet smellin' flowers.
3. I put on both pieces, walked through the room -- passing near each object that gives a pop-up about getting wierded out -- and when I got to the rocks, I couldn't open them.
4. So, I left the room, went back in and this time I avoided the objects that give the pop-ups. (Or rather, I managed to avoid all but one.) When I got to the rocks, I got a new menu with options of how to remove the rocks.
5. Before I removed the rocks, I tried one more thing; I left the room again, took off the stench resist pieces and went back into the room; again, I avoided the objects that give the pop-ups as much as possible....and again, I got the menu options about removing the rocks. (I then cleared them away successfully.)
So, my conclusions (and a little conjecture, just for fun):
1. If there is a resistant requirement for this, it's less than 20%. (And of which type of resistance, I don't know. If it happens to be hot/cold -- which I kinda doubt -- then it could be as high as 40%. But either spooky or stench seem more likely to be relevant here.)
2. Avoiding the objects that give you the various pop-ups about needing to leave the room seems to be the real key to being able to move the rocks.
3. I got one (and only one) of the pop-ups each time I made it to the rocks and got the menu that let me clear away the rocks. I don't know how many such pop-ups are possible...but I'd guess it's the first three: "You start to feel uneasy," "The hair on the back of your neck stands up,"
and "Your heart is pounding." After that (on the 4th pop-up), you get the message "You have to get out of this pit right now," which I'd guess is the point at which you can no longer interact with the rocks. Just a guess, though.
Anyhow, thanks for the help, folks \(^^
