I've been searching for hours but I can't find the trapezoidal piece anywhere. Anybody know where to look?

I'm unsure what part of the quest you're at. Did you talk yet to The Perfessor?

I think you need to give some scraps to The Perfessor. Five to be exact.

You need to have unlocked the Perfessors place just below the railway on the eastern most side of the map, speak to him and he will ask you to give him el vibrato scraps, that you can feed into a machine at the bottom left of his house that produce the trapezoidal.
