Help! What should I do?

I the mayor told me to deal with the skeleton raid and I think I'm suppose to fire a cannonball from Fort Treason to Alexandria Ranch's vault door. But when I tried to insert the cannon ball into the cannon it saids that I'm too dumb to aim at the flare. What should I do? Or the cannon isn't related to the quest at alll?

These are two separate things.

For the mayor's quest, you need to get the military cemetary's caretaker to do his job.

For the cannon/vault door, you need to find range-finding instructions.

But how do I find the caretaker?

Start with the military cemetary, you'll get a clue there.

He's in Fort Memoriam, or whatever it's called... the place where the guys are playing a strategy wargame.

Anyway, where can I find the cannon range finding instruction? I only have the cannon loading intruction which I'm too dumb to read

If you read the diaries in Fort Treason, you will get a P.O. box key. Go to the post office in Dirtwater and use the key, and you will get the range finding instructions.
