I love the stupid walk. I didn't get it until my second time through. I really need to get Lock Pickin' but I'm pretty happy about this in the meantime.

One doesn't stop the other.

Also, unless that's changed since I last played, once you've unlocked Walking Stupid, the book basically becomes a free/extra 150 meat in future playthroughs, since it stays unlocked.
