Past mid game, game starts to run slower, same happens to me with rtx 3090. Even 15 fps later on... I stopped playing months ago because of that.
Let's hope they fix it at some point.
I'm not sure who you're talking to, Dale. But the performance isn't better at all. Its dreadful and it makes the game virtually unplayable. All updates need to exclusively focus on performance otherwise when this game makes its way to steam, you along with all the devs will be crucified (metaphorically speaking) as the players here are far less forgiving.
Apparently our experience is invalid because 'discord people' gave them 'feedback' lol.
Discord is the official communication channel with Mohawk devs regarding Old World.
Personal experiences may vary, but the feedback from players has been the last couple of updates have improved their performance in game.
If you are still experiencing bad performance, I suggest either submitting a bug report (which can be done in game, remember to include your email address if you want a response from Mohawk) or connecting with the devs themselves on their discord channel.
I've submitted reports probably 10 times now through the in-game feature. Steam on the other hand has a nicely documented layout layout which is better than verbally communicating something :)
In game bug reports give us system specs and your current save game so we can analyse what's happening though. Verbal bug submits usually lack a lot of information and require numerous back 'n forths before enough information is transferred.
If you have submitted bug reports in game, then our GFX programmer would have them in their bug fix queue. Thanks for taking the time to submit them. If you supplied an email when submitting the bug, QA will respond to you letting you know the outcome.
Thanks
I have both games and Civ VI has lower FPS, mid game, and OW is using a far bigger map with higher unit density, so no.
Ps its not what you have its how you have in configured, so problems most likely your end.

Don't waste your time, he's a fanboy. If I'm getting 55 FPS only mid game on a 3080TI and the other bloke (ApocalipsisZ) is getting 15 FPS late game on a 3090.... There's clearly a problem.
The game is not optimised. If they launch this on steam before fixing these basic issues... The game will be buried in negative reviews.
Oh well, they were warned.
And your basing that comment on how the game runs on the latest build ?, i have not seen those comments where did you see them?( if you just made it up thats fine, just admit to doing so) as i have seen on discord and my own experience that the game has improved so that it runs better than months ago, and my experience is i can get betyter out of OW than i can for Civ.
Yes indeed the last 3 patches contain increasing optimisation, is it your experience that your seeing it run worse than civ?.
Not as interesting as not being able to comprehend what i wrote, and make false claims, or not being able to use quotes correctly.
