Map types

Does anyone have an example of the different map types in the game?

Currently in the game, we have the following mapscripts:
- Seaside
- Coastal rain basin
- Continent
- Multiple Continents
- Disjunction (land map with Nations separated by sea channels)
- Inland sea
- Northern Ocean
- Archipelago
- Arid plateau
- Hardwood forest

Typing full descriptions would take a long time, and most of these have various options that allow for way more customization (from extra mountains to fragmented sea, etc)

There also are 4 premade maps :
- The Old world, including the entire mediterranean and the middle east up to current day Iran/Old day Persia (8 players, all nations)
- The Mediteranean, including the shores of the mediteranean (4 players, Rome Carthage Egypt Greece)
- The Middle East, going from Egypt to the Indus valley, (5 Players Hatti Egypt Persia Assyria Babylonia)
- The Dead Sea, a Duel map with 1 city a side, on each side of a small sea.

And scenarios have their own maps.

How big is the old world map, I only play huge maps, so this is important to know, and are their any tribes included? I hate games without Tribes.

The "Old World" Map is huge and includes all tribes.

Thank you very much... I just tried using a mod that adds mass to the largest map, but it does literally nothing... The mod does advertise that it may no twork, BUT EVERYONE ON DISCORD OR HERE IS HAILING IT.

"Super Huge Mapsize" from Dale (one of the Devs) works like a charme, though it strains the CPU a lot late game - but I'm willing to live with that, as it gives that epic feeling and you have some room for peaceful expansion at start (peaceful not only refering to "free sites", but also those you can take from barbs or tribes instead of having to wage a full blown war vs. another major civ)

I'm going to verify that it's the one made by Dale because I really want to try it, and just got a new rig so it should be fine I think. The one I was trying has not been updated in quite some time.

Update : Yes it's Dale's Mod that I had tried before and it does not work at all, But I'm using a mod from Revan that extends your initial amount of revealed territory, maybe that's why it doesn't work ? But I think the real problem is that it's not been updated for the current build. Anyways, gong to try old world map out now, hopefully it has tribes in it but looking good, I love how you need 71 VP with 7 players.

I downloaded the super huge map mod from workshop and turned it on in manage mods. Then new game, select super huge map size, and start. Works without an issue.

Are you turning the mod on, in the manage mods list in the mod browser?

Just to show in game, the top right tile number is 121,121 (note in the tile tooltip next to the minimap). It's in the out of bounds area, but still on the map. The mod is working. Just double check you toggled it to ON in the mod manager.

Thanks for the help Dale, I feel stupid now, I had installed the mod, checked it as active, but then went and started a game on huge map, completely overlooking that I'd have to set the game to super huge map size in the advanced settings, anyways to anyone who cares, the super huge map mod works.

Bro, is that a hyboria map in the making? Because that would be awesome :D
