Well, if it were female my jimmies would be less rustled. I still would not appreciate the game making the decision for me, that stuff should not be in an RPG. This post would still be here.
My issue though isn't with the devil-ness since if an alien is hot I'd bang an alien.

If the game forces you into it, then I would agree that it's annoying. I haven't gotten there yet though so I can't judge, but I would be rather baffled if the game just makes that choice for you. It's the tone of the rest of the post that makes me question that.

But it's still rather amusing that a female bee is cool, but a male bee is just a step too far.

Are they? I'm not that well-versed in Hell lore so I'm not too sure. I just browse the wiki once a while to keep up. Still, I guess if they got a human body then that doesn't matter so much.

Yes, the game does it for you. It's just a standard officer chat thing: "what was your opinion or whatever of what just happened?" THE DEVIL IS NOW YOUR LOVER says the gane.

Alright. When it happened I alt-F4'd the game. I finally found the well again which is what triggered it, and there is hint. It said the devil wants something carnal to distract him from the well of the wolf. So like, if I actually bothered to spend more than a glance on the flavor text I would've noticed but still. Bad design. There should be some kind of... heart or some crap like in Seas indicating that you're about to bang this person (or bee). You know what, straight up make it a weener.

There's a glitch where if you converse with an officer with a store open, the store immediately closes the dialog window and forces itself to the top. So I don't know what he says after I give him the 3 panes of glass. If anybody gets a screenshot of that somehow, send it to me please.

That said, while I think the option was appropriately signposted and it's all Flypaste's own fault for not noticing, ha ha ha, I'd be alright with the option having the text "This option will make the Repentant Devil your lover" or the like as a derp guard.

We're asked to roleplay as / develop characterizations for the captain, and speaking in general terms, it can rather take one out of the story if one's character licks genitals one wasn't planning to, licks the sort of genitals one didn't think the character would, or licks the genitals of someone else than the person one was planning to court. Even if was all Flypaste's fault.

That too said, going CAUTION CAUTION SEX ALERT AWOOGAH AWOOGAH to avoid offending delicate sensibilities wouldn't be good either. I think Sunless Sea did a good job of telling the player "This option will bone someone" without making it weird.

This. I did not like how this was suddenly dropped onto my Captain when in Sunless Seas the "romance" options where clearly labeled so that you could avoid stumbling into them by accident.
