Some questions about Eleutheria
Hi there,
I'm kind of stucked in Eleutheria and I don't know what else to do.

First of all, I don't know how to return to the Reach. The Eagles tell me that is "somewhere to the east of Pan", but I have explored nearly the whole Eleutheria map and I didn't found anything... am I missing something?

Secondly, I've chosen to ally with the Heart-Catchers (I liked them, yeah). They have a rite which warns me that it may end my run and that scares the sh!t out of me, and I'm freaking afraid just reading that it may be possible. However, curiosity kills me... if I click on that option, will I have other options that shows me % the chances of success and an option to turn back? Or it's irreversible?

Finally, on Langley Hall... where's the damn painting? I looked everywhere but I can't find it!

Lots of thanks!

The relay that takes you back to the Reach is inside Eagle's Empyrean. Have you found that already? If yes, it should be a bit further than the main port.

Not sure about the heart-catchers.

Yeah I have no idea why they give such bad directions to the Relay, for me it's literally just a block SW of the Lane of Lions. Just cruise the Empyrean itself a bit and you'll find it.

Hmm my last captain was fully initiated into the Heart-Catchers. Are you talking about where you have to save a Heart-Catcher's life with your own head? If so, the only bad consequence I recall when I failed a check was I lost a stat point. You will see your odds of success as usual of course, but there is no backing out I'm afraid.

I believe most of the checks also have an option to use an item such as a Moment(can't quite recall for sure if that was which one it was sorry) for a guaranteed success. So if you have a decent supply of all those, I say go for it. I found it worthwhile to go through because afterwards you can trade in your Eleutherian Mysteries for Moments of Inspiration, excellent way to grab them.

Not sure what you mean by a painting at Langley, I don't remember anything like that there. I could've missed it I'm sure though. Hope the rest helps you.

My sky godness, the relay was literally next to the Empyrean in a small chunk of war fog I hadn't seen. Lots of thanks!

Yeah, that's exactly the rite. I think I'll wait then, right now I have spent all my inspiration moments and I want to be sure if I do it (don't wanna throw my 50h run to the toilet so easily).

About the Langley hall, I know the only element I have to discover is a painting of Langley with another man, and then I would unlock the option "consider the evidence"... but I don't find that painting.

Once you start the rite you can't turn back, yeah. Started it by mistake, so I know that for a fact x)

More details about the rite:

Once you start, there are three steps to complete, which requires a Hearths challenge, Mirrors challenge and Iron challenge. They are hard challenges that require around 80 in the stat to reach 95% success. Dunno what happend if you fail, I didn't even consider trying them x)

You can skip the challenges by giving 2 Moments of Inspiration and 1 Savage Secret total.

As rocker_kitty said, once the rite is over you'll unlock an option that allows you to trade 3 Eleutherian Mysteries for 1 Moment of Inspiration, so it's easy to get the two you just used back.

Don't remember a painting in Langley hall, so can't help with that.

As said above, I used possessions to avoid the challenges ^^ be sure to have a stock of rare ones, I think it's 4 challenges

Really useful information, thx! I'll have to wait to get more resources to be sure I don't get my run screwed then, lots of thanks!

Ah, that's right I remember for sure now(thank you for the specifics Gerardufoin): It was failing that first Hearts check that lost me a point of Hearts. I used possessions after that.

Oh is the painting part of the Looking for Lord Langley quest? Are you sure you unlocked all the rooms? I think the Bathroom needs the most Staircase Spelunking normally, so if you have that unlocked you should be good to go. There is one more room you need to find once you have all the clues, though.

Good luck on your adventures!

The maximum exploration score for Langley Hall is 100. For reference, you might miss a room, and maybe lack clues to find it. i don't remember exactly what triggered it, but it's a room where you have a challenge to search around, and cost something like a moment of inspiration.

Oh nice, I'll take another look when I return there, I don't think I've unlocked the bathroom so maybe it's there...

Now heading to Albion again to complete some officers quests and then back to Eleutheria.
And after that... I want to go to Blue Kingdom where I haven't been before, but it scares me reading those posts about how hard it is. And even so... I need to see

To be fair, Blue Kingdom requires carefull navigation and knowledge of the ways here. Which you don't have at the beginning. That makes it harsh to discover. Afterwards, and now, I navigate very precisely in it: know where you wanna go, what status you need, how to get it, what ways you'll be attacked on depending on your status, and plan your way back. It's an interesting challenge, but all of this does not encourage to discover the lore very freely, rather fearfully ^^
The lore is simply awesome.
