Suggested starting captain
I used to play Sunless Seas but it has been a couple of years. Seems to me going for Iron and Hearts as your starting attributes increases was the best way to go. Cant quite recall. Is that correct and is that preferred in this game to.

I reccomend haveing your past being Zailer. You get a few refrences to sunless seas.

In sunless seas, I think veils was the best starting stat, personally. No idea which stat to priotize for this game though.

Veils and/or Mirrors.

Many stat checks when exploring wrecks or looting ships involve Veils/Mirrors.
An early upgrade to the ship's hold (tier 2/green) requires Mirrors.
Later upgrades for the hold (tier 3/blue and tier 4/purple) require Veils.
