Where to get an searing enigma?

They're available at the end of quite a few quests, like Traitors Wood, as well at certain times during companion quest-lines.

The easiest way to get one is in Pan. You can trade quite a lot of Bloody Secrets for one.

In Euletheria you can trade the pages you get after killing a senior scrivener for a searing enigma. I think it's 7 pages per enigma...or maybe 12? I can't remember. There may be other costs too. Kill a scrivener and look at the options to find out.

You can also get one at Worlby during the princess storyline, but it costs a point of hearts.

I'd second this. You'll need to go to a few performances, get behind the tents, do the text storyline, and then each of the performers will want you to do stuff.

Do all that and you'll get an opportunity for some cool lore and an enigma.

Enigmas, for the most part, are gotten by finishing off long storylines.

i did the circus storyline and after finishing the last one there was nothing more, i was expecting the ringmaster to talk to me one more time

when you go to leave the circus something happens, if it didn't then your game is bugged or you didn't finish it.
