Speedhack

For anyone growing frustrated at the speed of the trains, which are too slow:

Cheat Engine has a built in speedhack system which you can hotkey as well.
I have Shift + 1 ,2 ,3 set to 1x, 2x, and 5x respectively and it's cut down on the tedium in this game by about 75%. The great part is the music and sound effects are unaffected so you don't even get distorted audio. I recommend it to anyone frustrated with the developers not listening to their complains about this game being too boring.

Hi there, thanks for posting this! Been trying to figure out if there even was a way to speed up the engines as I have to admit...it can be a little boring slowly trundling from port to port! I thought buying the better locomotives would have better speed, but seems they are all the same! D:

In regards to cheat engine...I'm a bit of a noob, and have no idea how Cheat engine works..is it just a separate program that you can edit in game values?

Yeah, you select a process with it and it let's you modify values in it. The main thing is it has a built in speedhack system that works out of the box in a lot of games. I've highlighted it here.[i.imgur.com] Use the button with the green border to select Sunless Skies, then enablign speedhacks will let you set the game speed. If you go to Edit > Settings there's options for setting hotkeys there so you don't even have to alt+tab.

Any info on how to get it to work on Mac? Throws an when you try to toggle speedhack on.

I just wanted to thank you. I was just about ready to uninstall the game, but was desperate to find some solution that would enable me to enjoy the fantastic narrative. This is it. I wish this post could be starred or something, because I suspect a sizeable majority of players are just as frustrated with the pace this game sets.
