How Do You Tell Date & Time In Game?

Does anyone know of where I check to tell what the date/time is in the game?

Trying to complete the Regents Grave quest and decided that the book worm should do some hard labor for a year and a day as I lost quite a bit of crew doing the legwork for him and I have a legal slave camp mining hours to attend to.

So I wish to just make a not of when I should return and check back by then instead of onstanly making the long journey over to see him still tending the flower beds.

At the moment the only way is when you send out the scout or when you see ambient messages on approach to ports and various areas. However on launch it will be present on the HUD.

Will this include a log? I did enjoy the travel log of evennts I encounterd in Sunless Sea and I know I would enjoy it as much here if not more as I am always too busy fighting/dodging to read the discovery/area flavor text of the crew. Plus I wish to see how badly time jumps around after certain events that claim the date is not what it was.
