Felined Eccentric alternate path?

There seems to be two main paths for completing the Felined Eccentric's questline.

One involves travelling all over the high wilderness to find new homes for the cats.

The other involves just travelling around eleutheria to find ways to kick them out. Its pretty clear which of the two is more difficult

But what other differences are there? Does each path result in a different ending? Does the latter path make you lose her, or end up with a worse officer? Whats the end result each way?

like with most such quests the choices determine which of the two final final forms of the officer you'll be able to get, I took all of the nice choices and could only choose the gentle eccentric, if you choose only the cruel choices you'll get the brilliant eccentric and a mix of the two will require spading (might be able to choose might be random?)

if you prefer to role play choose what you feel is more appropriate if you play for gameplay reasons you can compare the two in the wiki (one gives mirrors the other gives hearts, so if you choose the heart route for the rats it will be wise to choose the mirror path or the eccentric, no need for two +10 hearts engineers)

It alternates the results of the promotion. Pretty much, if you decide to take the gentle way (which is find a new home for her cats in Carillon, the White Well and the Parliament) she will change into the Gentle Eccentric. If you decide to drive them away (By dropping them off at Magdalene's, Piranesi and Caduceus) she will become the Brilliant Eccentric.

If you go middle of the road (like dropping 2 cats at Carillon and the Parliament and the last one at Magdalene's) you will have the choice of turning her in either Gentle or Brilliant.

There are alternate routes for the rat brigade? How? I've only ever gotten hearts, what do i need to do different?

When you find the rat in Port Prosper, you have to decide if Cinders kills him or not. If he doesn't, they become the Ratty reunion (+10 hearts) and if he does they become the Ratty Revengers (+10 veils)
