Bug with progression?

[LOC]

So I've done the tutorial (I guess its the tutorial still) up until you enter some base and you have to hit space to enter the map (I am using a controller though) and I keep respawning at the start again and again. I've had it happen 4 times in a row now. Not sure if its because I'm using a controller or some other issue, but there ya go.
