Controller not being recognised by the game anymore,

So I played the game a little just to see if it all works and it did just fine with controller, then I added some mods and now it's does not work with any controller. Tried with xbox and ps5 controller, can anyone help?

Edit: I've also tried uninstalling the game, removing all the files in my games/finalfantasy12 and manually deleting the mods from the game folder.

I used two controllers in separate ports

For any other people who will ever get this same random problem as me. I've solved it by going to the game properties on steam, go into the controller tab, click enable steam input and then use default settings. This has somehow fixed it.

I'm glad u got it working. I should let u know however that this wasn't "a fix". Most games need to use the Steam plugin in order to detect the controller. There are some exceptions of course, but to my knowledge FFXII isn't one of them. Most game auto-detect when first booting, this game is no exception, but when u installed those mods it de-sync'd ur Steam overlay. I would have recommended resetting it, but checking to make sure that the Steam overlay is still working is literally the 1st thing everybody else always does. So I didn't.
