Game won't launch or even open at all.

Title.
Launched the game for the first time, it asked me if I wanted to run the settings window on every launch or just once. Selected "just once." Picked my settings, hit "ok." Game process immediately stopped.

Launched the game again. Settings window popped up again despite me choosing for it to not do that. Hit "ok" again. Game process immediately stopped again.

I've tried every combination of graphics settings with no luck. The game just straight refuses to actually load anything besides the graphics settings window which I already told it not to run after the first time.

Anyone else experienced this specific iteration of the problem? Did some searching but every other "game won't launch" thread actually managed to get to a blank opening screen, I can't even get that far.

i bought it last night, just tried to launch it now, same thing. just a white screen, hoping to find a solution that i actually do

if you goto the settings you can change the launch option, i did get it to play after changing to proton 8, just played a few mins to see if it worked. after exiting the game its now back to the white screen. lol

Same here the game is no longer booting at all I get a window with a white when I check the game folder it created a crash.dmp file so the game is instantly crashing. I deleted the game and redownloaded it same thing.

Weird, I just installed the game and it runs great. If I may ask, those having the issue, what are your pc specs? (Maybe there is something in common?) And I am assuming everyone's done the whole "verify files" thing and all that already?

Windows 11 Pro 23H2, RTX 3080, 5800x, 32GB 3600 RAM, Two displays. It's odd the PC in my living room a single display 3080 5600x runs just fine but my PC in my mancave doesn't.

I managed to fix it by setting my second monitor as primary in windows display settings. I launched the game in windowed border less and it booted up on my main monitor anyways.

The game didn't like my main monitor an ultrawide 5120x1440 240hz display. When I disabled game mode on it the game started running not sure why changing my display would effect that.
