You CANNOT come back from there, so anything you want to do in the game you have to do before you leave.

I mean that's technically not going back, that's never having gone. You can't go there and come back. You can only go back to a save where you haven't gone there.

One thing to note: make sure you create a permanent (manual) save before entering Bahamut, since you are unable to leave after entering. If I remember correctly, the game still autosaves inside Bahamut, so if you get stuck there or remember that you still need to do something else, you'll need to reload the manual save.

It's crazy to me to think people don't do that and just rely on autosaves. I know I've seen people that do that, but it's still crazy.

Quick question, how the hell do I get into the Arcade at Achades? I need sandlewood chops right? But I need more pine chops and I only have 4. One NPC tells me I need 24 more to trade for a sandlewood. Like where do I get these? I had to talk to Archades people to get those first 3 to enter cab during story and I bought one more from a clerk for like 20k Gil. Is there more NPCs to get these pine chops from?

Yes, the Sky Fortress Bahamut is the game's final stage. Once you decide to fly there, you either beat the final boss or are forced to reload from where you last saved. No save points are available aboard the sky fortress.
