Can't get cura at any shops/merchants after the leviathan event! [SOLVED]

I want to make a red mage build yet I can not find that damned spell no matter which merchant/store I go to, (Rabanastre, Bhujerba, Westersand) I even tried that damn merchant with the Chocobo mount in the Westersand desert!

Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: Thanks for the help, but I may have screwed up my game by using cheat engine for a measly 2k of gil, as spending it may have screwed up the store inventories as I'm still getting tier 1 spells!

EDIT: SOLVED I had to get done with the Ondore's Estate event, and NOT the leviathan, as that was for the PS version of the game!

Are you sure you're at the right merchant in Westersand? It's the bangaa one at the teleport crystal.

Do you have any mods installed that might change stores? Are you using the PS2 version (it's different)?

Here's[i.imgur.com] where I am in the westersand desert it's the only merchant around that I could find and he doesn't sell spells!

I'm using the PC version BTW...

That might not be the right one, I believe it's the one just before the Sand Sea, where you first touch down after coming from Bhujerba - not the one AFTER you've crossed the Sand Sea. But maybe I'm the one getting them confused it's been a while...

Do you think he only sells weapons? If so, you need to change tabs to look at the other wears.

Yeah, it looks like I'm going to have to try an earlier save as I used cheat engine to snag only 2k gil, yet it looks like it set me back several hours of game time as I spent that gil at a store, and that may have fv<ked up the stores as I'm only getting tier 2 weapons and 1st level spells in spite of me completing the leviathan event!

Yeah it sounds like shops aren't being updated. You could try to advance the story some (getting to Raithwall should for sure do it) and see if that fixes it....though it sounds like you just reloaded an earlier save and went from there.

Yeah, I'm just gonna load an earlier save instead as I don't want to put even more hours into it just to backtrack any more hours than I need to!

My mistake I had to do the Ondore's Estate event in order to progress/update the stores as I was going by the PS version, not the PC!
