Square still makes bad PC ports :)

I can't run the game properly, stuttering, lags and it feels like i'm running in slow-motion in Rabanastre, please help i really want to play this game...

Helps if you just say you're having issues, rather than automatically assuming it's the port - especially since this is considered the best PC port they have done.

First thing is: what's your system specs? Does the stuttering persist outside of Rabanastre? What settings are you running the game on?

8GB RAM DDR4
Win10 64 Bits

so i shouldn't have any problems running it, i tried low, medium and high graphics and does not seem to help, the problem persists, and my PC should easily run it at full ultra graphics, it makes no sense

i'm actually searching for "possible solutions" but i can't find any, there is people talking about speed, white screen and some other issues which is not the one i'm having...

If you have single channel ram that could be issue

I believe there is an issue with Vsync and 60fps. Try looking that up for change it and see.

turned off vsync and tried 30 fps, none helped, lowered graphics and had no changes at all, the game starts perfectly well, i literally walk in rabanastre for 2 minutes and it starts to stutter/slow-motion (14-17 fps)

it is truly a shame, i can't fix the problem i had and i may be the first one to have such issues because nobody else had this kind of problem, even on reddit or gamefaqs has no one talking about it, i really didn't want to refund this game (i'm trying all possible solutions even from different issues, 6 hours already and can't fix it)

yes i reinstalled the game already, but can you explain better that internet thing? i didn't try to play offline (yet)

I tried playing the game on my laptop during an electrical outage, but it was laggy and horrible. I thought maybe it hadn't entirely updated- but if you've already reinstalled and you have a stable internet then I don't think it's a related problem sorry :/

Its ok, by now any info is welcome (i'm almost losing my mind here) i'll give up for today and try again tomorrow, i may fix it or not, if not i'll refund it (truly a shame that i can't play such a good game because the devs can't make a good port)

Essa pode não ser a resposta mas você por acaso desabilitou seu arquivo de paginação?
Alguns jogos dão problema com essa função desativada mesmo com a máquina tendo bastante ram..

Meu pc aguenta 60 fps tranquilo em todas as áreas do game, então não pode ser tua config.

Se não for essa parada de paginação pode ser algum Antivirus, Mods ou o seu Windows 10 mesmo..
Uso Kaspesky e na primeira vez que iniciei o game ele bloqueou um arquivo do jogo, ai tive que permitir a execução..

Turn down ambient occ to half resolution, drop msaa to 4x or lower, and lower shadow quality to medium. Other settings you can most likely leave maxed if your on 1080p resolution.
Setting the game to borderless windowed and leaving vsync on should be fine.

tried everything on lowest possible/off and the problem is still there

There's just so many variable with PCs that consoles don't have to deal with- other programs running, over-clocking, weird hardware issues... is there anything unique about your system or how you save Steam games to your device?

i'll try the admin thing and change the 3D options, also gonna search for fps drop on other FF games as well, but there is nothing "unique" on my PC, it is all default, the most "unique" thing about it is that i have an 2TB HDD and just that, i'll make some more tests on lower ress etc..

Aonde vou pra ver sobre o tal "arquivo de paginação" ?
sobre a config de fato não é o problema, já que mudando ela o problema persiste, o mais estranho é que começa tudo perfeito, no primeiro drop de fps que o jogo dá ele se mantém nesse drop de fps, e a cada dropzinho por minímo que seja ele vai diminuindo até chegar a um estado completamente injogável

That's very odd. I have the same CPU as you and even on my old RX 580 4GB, I was still able to maintain 60fps on near-max settings.

Ambient Occlusion is a heavy-performance issue for AMD Graphics Cards, so I recommend it setting it to half-resolution.

I also recommend upgrading your ram to 16GB. You'll get better performance than with just 8GB.
