More gambit slots please!
The lack of gambit slots is really killing me as the main fun I get from this game is combining various gambit setups with various class combinations and board paths.

So,
is there any way we can get more gambit slots or anyone knows if the devs ever considered (or considering) increasing the gambit slots amount?

If I'm correct, Xeavin, the creator of this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy12/mods/185 was working on extending the maximum number of gambits. I'm not sure about his progress, and I think he's busy currently, but you could try leaving him a message on Nexus or ask on the modding discord here: UBrP6ME

While there is not currently a gambit expansion option, you can use the built-in gambit sets that was added in the last update, which allows you to have three full setups of gambits for each character.

Those groups are independent from each other with no way to quickly use them in battle other than to open menu and switch to group (using the rather weird keyboard shortcuts) each time there is need for each group for each character :/

Thanks for the suggestion though.. it's just doesn't work for me.

While i would like to have more slots (and specially combination-slots) the "few" we get are normally enough.

I wish there was a gambit mod that add in more gambit types, so I can have a gambit Foe = has item --> steal once

There is a mod on Nexus that solve this problem.
Is not the way you want but is a start.

My first thought when reading why not more gambits was that it's by design? Let's say the recent FF7 Remake, limited materia slots is by design, sure it would be nice to slap more materia to get better combinations ect, but was limited to serve a more tactical approach to the encounters. Maybe they limited the gambits in a similar fashion.

That could be the case if gambits offered some kind of advantage to the player.
Gambits are basically badly played auto-battle. The player will always play better than any gambit setup no matter the number of slots.

Mind you, I'm not asking for more complex commands which could potentially play better than a human, I'm only asking for an increase in the number of gambit slots to use the existing commands with.

I just find it tedious to constantly navigate through the skills/spells for repetitive actions that don't require any kind of tactical thinking. For support/healer characters there are *loads* of tedious actions that could be offloaded to a long list of gambit slots.
