Is the story the same as the original

Yeah its the same it just looks better than it did 10 years ago at 30fps :D

There are some changes, mainly the job system, as you can have two jobs on each character. also its possible to get the zodiac spear without needing a guide to tell you what chests not to open. (you can get it from the rare game hunt club, but if you do get it there, you will miss out on some good items.

Also the PC version can run at 60 fps, and some other changes. otherwise, the story is the same.

Yeah what threw me off was all the Scifi eye candy , I did not remember all the spaceships etc in the original Ps2 game .. but again it was over 10 years ago and I dont remember all the details ..but I did love this game and completed it back in the day . so thats why I thought the story line was revamped .

One thing that sticks in my head was my memory of fighting a door boss .lol

I like at times when grinding using a auto system which I understand the new Gambit system delivers. That alone will prob make me get this game .. I still do have the origianl ps2 version .

But if not much changed I would save the 50 bucks.. and stick to the original I have .

No, the story is completely different now. Apparently, Fran has killed Basche as Vaan sneaked into the royal palace and had sex with Ashe (his former brother's wife). Vaan insisted on taking over Ivalice with Ashe, while Penelo and Larsa are killed by a mob of Bangaas (think dog faced aliens). Apparently the whole story wasn't translated correctly due to poor translation and a low budget. Now, we can truely experience the original story that us American's were never told. At the end, you get to experience an unrated nude sex scene (Fran and two of her bunny friends going at it xD). I can't spoil the whole game in the forums.

You might need to talk to people who talk to people to solve their serious problems.

Yes, rather than an imaginative and original story like the games that came before, FFXII is still an uninspired mess of stolen ideas with little or no creativity. It should be called Final Fantasy: Eragon.

It's a bit subjective. FFIX is different, but you can't really say 'better'. Different strokes for different folks.

That's very true. Art is fundamentally a matter of taste. I think even you would concede that FFIX is a bit more original but originality isn't automatically a virtue in itself.

Ohh I have and played FFIX few times , one of my favorite FF games .. I also played this game too and liked it , it just was the older ps2 platform.
