Struggling in the fishing mini game

Hi guys. Any advice for pressing the sequences of buttons properly? I am using a laptop and its not so easy as I expected ._. haha,,, I dont know. When the buttons appear its like "Geez, slow down you guys xD" Other times i have this "out of it" look in my face trying to search for the buttons in my keyboard while the fishes are already gone lmao. Especially when are vertical fishes... Ugh... And I just unlocked the 2nd fishing area. I am assuming I´ll encounter 6 button fishes... right xD? Maybe just a matter of memorizing each fish?

It is, its actually the same pattern for each fish and there is like 6 diferent patterns anyway, so just repeat till muscle memory kicks in and you will get it.

i hate those mini games...at least the ones in FF12 are not as crazy as in FF10.
As Alexander said, your memory only needs to get a copy of these patterns but it can take some time depending on your mood and how focused you are.

I also think its harder than original, the time to input sequences is faster.

does 60 fps impact the speed of sequences?

Keyboard but I am just not used to in my laptop I guess :P. Anyways, I finally unlocked the 3rd part. Now I need to grind to 7x or 80s for 2nd encounter with Gilgamesh. (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nostalgic music hahaha)

If you're playing on the PC, you can slow down the fishing game by doing the following:
1. Download and install Cheat Engine (cheatengine.org) (don't worry, you won't be banned)
2. Launch FFXII
3. Launch Cheat Engine
4. Press the Select Process button and load the FFXII EXE into memory
5. Checkmark "Enable Speedhack"
6. Set the speed to .25 and press Apply

I thought the fishing minigame was much easier with a keyboard than with a controller, even though I played the rest of the game with a controller. That's because if the game tells me to type something, I have the keyboard on muscle memory so well that it's faster to type than to press several different controller buttons. There's a limited number of command sequences, so just keep playing the minigame for an hour or so, and you'll eventually get the sequences in your muscle memory.

This fishing game is stupid, the cheatengine.org made it doable. The site is considered malicious or something, but you just have to avoid the ads and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ malware program built into the installer, unckeck all the stuff.

Don't touch to cheatengine of my ass... Guru3D RTSS Rivatuner Statistics Server Download v7.2.2, no virus no pub no ♥♥♥♥, simple soft, edit fps (see some video on youtube about it) and that's it !

For anyone who is still struggling with the fishing game a few tipps which worked very well for me without using the cheat engine:
1. Use the Keyboard! If you can typewrite without or almost without looking at the keyboard, this helps a lot.
2. Use the biggest screen you can get.
3. Turn up all graphics settings (resolution, AAS, etc. ) to the max. If you are not using a high end graphic card, this should slow down the game so you can make your entries in time. BUT I have to add, that my graphic card is quite old (Radeon R9 Fury X) and I am not sure, if this will work on faster cards.
4. Be lucky. :)

I just used the Nvidia control panel to set 20fps for this mini game. If at least the indications were scrolling properly instead of jumping, it would be fine, but I can't see a thing with the jumping.
