There are a large variety of mods, from small changes like giving the invisible weapons in-game models to complete overhauls of the game's difficulty and mechanics. There are also a few QOL (quality of life) mods that improve the experience, such as being able to skip the intro screens that usually display every time you start the game.
If you want to see most of the mods that are available, check out the Nexus:
https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy12/mods/
You can also join the modding Discord server:

But it's true, some mods aren't on Nexus - in at least one case, it's because that user was banned off Nexus for filing false claims against other users.
Some people also don't put their x-rated mods on Nexus, even though Nexus doesn't really disallow this and you can still find some there. I guess it might be a touchy subject.
Yeah, the Switch pro controller is far from one of my favourites. A far greater issue I had with it was the d-pad - it's so easy to accidentally press diagonal directions. I'd take the PS2 controller any day over any Switch controller.
Do people just forget that laptops are portable? lol
There is a difference between playing on-the-go and being able to take it with you. I doubt you would want to try playing with your laptop while standing on the subway, for example. And even if you're sitting, if you want to play with a controller, a laptop and controller combination isn't going to beat the Switch for portability while riding the bus or playing between classes or on a lunch break.
This is mainly why I love dedicated portable consoles so much - they can provide a similar experience to home consoles that you can take with you on the go. That's why I still have my PSP and PS Vita to this day.
Granted, portable gaming isn't going to appeal to everyone and I know several people that just don't understand why anyone would take their games with them - personally, the ability to take your favourite games wherever you go is quite a huge advantage for me.
You can get FF5 and FF6 as part of the PS1 classics on PS3, transfer them onto your PSP and play them from there that way, at least here in Australia anyway. Same with FF7, 8 and 9.
This might just me nostalgia, but I still prefer the 16 bit visuals and audio of the SNES and PS1 versions of these games personally. That's just my opinion, even though I also like the way FF4 looks on PSP.
Best FF4 graphics for sure. I agree that I would've loved to have seen the other "anthology" FFs redone on PSP. I really wish Square Enix didn't have such a hardon for mobile ports (Although I have also heard that there is copywrite issues involved), PC deserves the Sony versions of Square games.
