In general, most Quickening bonuses aren't a big deal, and most job combinations don't even HAVE more than 3 bonuses across both jobs.
Shikari is the big and obvious exception, since it has 4 different ninja sword licenses behind Quickenings, including the one for the ultimate ones. That definitely makes you want to plan ahead.
But for most other jobs, you'll find that a lot of the Quickenings don't have any tiles behind them at all, or that it's super irrelevant ones. Monk has one of the best with Curaja/Bravery, but not much going on for the others so it's basically always the pick.
You can use the Party Planning Spreadsheet[docs.google.com] to get an easy overview over what combos in your party give what bonuses for which Quickening - but you still need to be mindful of cross-job synergies. Some job combos might unlock the tiles locked on one job via the second job, without ever using a Quickening. Same goes for Espers, of course, though those are more complicated as they are unique and the bonuses tend to be more powerful overall.
So, if someone suggests, for example, for Basch as Bushi/Timemage to skip Quickening 50, is it still valid if he has other jobs?
