Game moving too fast?
It feels like the cutscenes and the running and the entire game is moving at 1.5x the speed that it is supposed to. Everything is desynced and his walk is faster than his sprint ever was....thoughts on how to fix it?

Did you activate for mistake the VSync? because the VSynce makes the game runs at 600fps for me. Maybe thats your problem.

As with every other Final Fantasy game lazily ported to PC, the game's speed is tied to your FPS, so it breaks if it isn't exactly 30 or 60.

See if you can turn the frame limiter back on. Might be an .ini or something.

Edit: found it, and it's really stupid. Turns out it's not an .ini and the "on" and "off" settings are written in Japanese, though the labels on the settings are english. That's how lazy the port is.

File you're looking for under the game's directory will be
\FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE\x64\SettingsLoc.xml

You're probably going to need to download the Japanese language pack to windows to see what's on and off, and even then it's in Japanese.

オン is on
オフ is off

That is just the localistion-file for the settings - it is NOT the ini-file, not even close.

The game-setting.ini is located in "My Games/Final Fantsy XII The ZODICA AGE/<RandomNumber>/"

If you are using the xbox controller you may have pressed the LB or LT button. I had the same issue today 3 or 4 times because I pressed them and the gameplay was like in 2x speed. So just try it with the xbox controller and dont change anything in the .ini files.

I have answered this many times before; firstly:

This is mostly wrong. While there are strange issues with the game, it is by all means a great port for many reasons.

There is always a frame limiter. You cannot naturally change it from 30 or 60 fps.

This is completely wrong. SettingsLoc is NOT the configuration file; it is a file for localization.

Now, the reason why you're experiencing this issue:
When your framerate does not meet the target framerate (which is naturally 30 or 60) the game will lose synchronization because the developers do not scale everything to frametime; rather the target frametime. This issue is MUCH greater when you have vsync enabled, because the game will not catch up once it's lost sync in cutscenes and other similar scenereos.
