Final Fantasy XII All-in-One Editor (Beta) Released!
Good morning everyone! I was talking to Raiden, the author of the editor this morning about potentially releasing a beta version of the editor, and he decided to release the All-in-One Editor he's been working on for public testing.

If you decide to use it, please post feedback in this thread so I can pass it on to Raiden. Any feedback is welcome!

It can be downloaded here:

*Link removed per author's request- a new editor will be out soon!*

There are many, many things the editor can do, but these are the big things:

-Edit enemy stats, EXP, LP, Steals/Drops/etc. Note that status immunities and enemy levels can't be edited yet.
-Edit basic enemy AI, such as what skills they can use.
-Edit equipment stats.
-Edit abilities.
-Edit shop contents.
-Edit Bazaar recipes.
-Edit sidequest rewards.
-Edit character stats, initial Licenses, etc.
-Edit LP costs.
-Edit treasures, including their contents and spawn rates.
-Edit text, such as equipment/ability names, character names, etc.
-Edit what 3D model is used for each character/monster.

Again, it has many other functions, but these are the biggest ones. Enjoy!

Absolutely based. Downloaded instantly. Time to finally go through and meticulously edit every single enemy one by one so they're just how I want them.
Thanks to Raiden, you and the other modders, I, and I'm sure many others appreciate your work.

Enjoy! And if you find any oddities or bugs, post 'em here so we can get them fixed!

Thank you much for the tool and all your hard work, everyone; loving the progress of modding capabilities in XII! Keep it up.

I'm crying right now :steamhappy:.

Can't believe you guys are still modding the heck out of FF12, when the developers never intended on the game being modded in the first place. Thanks for the Editor ;)

It's all thanks to Raiden! I just help out, haha.

I wrote up a brief tutorial on how to use the tool. It might need some work (namely the text editing parts), but it should be a good starting tutorial: https://pastebin.com/weV19Uhy

It was your testing with Raiden that allowed a stable release, give your a firm pat on the back!
Thanks for the tutorial!

Thanks for the editor & tutorial, few questions:
What does "Type" and "Power Multi" do?
Whats the difference between Accuracy & On-Hit?

This editor is amazing. I didn't expect so much customization. I can literally customize everything, from the initial items / hp / mp to gambits and models. I was wondering, are you planning on creating a save editor as well? That would allow people who already started a campaign to use the Editor for their saved game. There is a cheat engine table for FF12 TZA, but I'd rather use this editor to be totally honest.

@Flanetus: Type is basically the formula used to determine what the ability does. Power Multi is used with certain formulas to deal/heal a set amount of damage, for example, 1000 Needles. Accuracy is the status infliction rate for certain formulas that don't deal damage, whereas On Hit is the base rate of an ability inflicting a status along with damage, such as Firaja.

@Toxic: I don't think there are any immediate plans for a save editor. I believe someone was looking into how saves are handled, and the format is kinda strange.

Thanks for Sharing Dwight. I found the Memory Editor here.

I noticed the Memory editor is quite buggy at the moment. I didn't have the same issues when using cheat engine.

It's awesome that there's still a dedicated group of modders for FF12 one year after release. :steamhappy:

Is it possible we might be seeing some day an original version of FFXII and the IZJS version recreated with this mod (and the other editor mods released now)?

Yes, it's very possile that some day we might see this.
Quite possible....indeed.

Though it will never be exact even preclufing the new stuff that would make this worthwhile in the first place (autosave, graphics, trial mode, NG+/-, speed up, etc). There's a lot of things that simply can't be done because of the changes to the game - things being in the right shops at the right times is a biggie, and getting the correct chest data without maps would take a huge amount of trial an error playing the original (and that says nothing about chests that are simply not in the same place at all). Plus there's the thing with the MP if you wanna count that (it's a QoL change but it does affect for instance some equips giving MP), Oh and you can't prevent guests from being inventory-guzzlers.

Melodia hit the nail on the head. We can feasibly do a reasonable facsimile with the tools out now, but taking away some of the bigger changes and battle system changes would require knowledge that we just don't currently have right now. And, honestly, I'm not sure how many people are interested in researching reverting some of the changes (such as the Mist Gauges, Autosave, etc.)
Melodia Apr 1, 2019 @ 7:46am
Well the mist gauge wouldn't be something anyone should want to change back, regardless of anything else. Obviously autosave can just be not used if someone doesn't want to.
eternal248 Apr 1, 2019 @ 7:47am
Yeah, but for a "true" PS2 experience, I'm assuming that's one of the things they'd want changed. It was a good system for mages in that version to get a large pool of MP quickly.
